WWDC 2007 predictions, follow-up
Well, on the whole, I think I did alright in my predictions. For the record, I didn’t expect even half of my predictions to be right…
| Prediction | Verdict |
|---|---|
| New iPhone features | CORRECT; Jobs introduced a tool for developers to create third-party apps for the iPhone through Safari. Neato, gang. |
| 6G iPod | WRONG 1 |
| Redesigned iMac | WRONG; maybe not at WWDC 07, but sometime soon… 2 |
| Leopard new features & GUI | CORRECT; Leopard has a slew of new features and a universal GUI across all apps. |
| iLife & iWork ‘07 | WRONG; soon. 2 |
| Mac mini cancellation | WRONG |
| Sub-notebook | WRONG; soon. 3 |
| iSight displays | WRONG; also soon. 4 |
| MacBook Pro update | CORRECT; happened before WWDC, however. |
| iPhone mini | WRONG; it does say wishful thinking, afterall. 5 |
So there you have it. There was only one announcement that I didn’t see coming—Safari 3 Beta on Windows. So, I got 3/10 guesses correct and 2 out of 3 announcements at WWDC correct. Pretty bad, but that’s okay. I’ll post a rave about Leopard, because I’m disappointed. You’ll see.
